As a critical cornerstone for ensuring fire safety in modern society, flame-retardant science is undergoing a profound transformation from “single-function modification” to “system-integrated innovation.” With the rapid expansion of strategic emerging industries such as new energy vehicles, low-altitude economy, high-density data centers, and aerospace, requirements for material fire safety are no longer limited to conventional flame-retardant efficiency, but are increasingly extended to encompass high reliability, integrated thermal management, environmental sustainability, and full life-cycle management.
Against this backdrop, the 9th International Symposium on Flame-Retardant Materials and Technologies (ISFRMT 2026) will be held in Guangzhou, China, from November 13–15, 2026.
